Job summary

KBR, Inc. is seeking a Senior Counsel to lead legal matters around AI governance, data privacy, and cybersecurity for a global organization.

The role entails advising on AI laws, privacy regimes, and security programs across multiple jurisdictions. The ideal candidate has strong experience advising on enterprise risk, managing outside counsel, and communicating complex regulatory issues to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Law degree and admission to practice in the UK or EU
• Comprehensive expertise in AI, data privacy and cybersecurity laws across jurisdictions
• Strong ability to communicate complex issues succinctly to senior leaders
• Experience managing outside counsel and legal teams in global programs

Responsibilities

• Maintain a global AI Governance program and advise on AI-specific laws across jurisdictions.
• Lead global Data Privacy program and advise on GDPR, UK GDPR, and cross-border data transfers.
• Coordinate with cybersecurity teams to address legal risk and data breach reporting requirements.
• Assist with insider threat coordination and global insider threat program governance.
