Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Principal Cost Manager for the Wales & West Region to lead cost management on complex infrastructure programmes. You will drive cost performance, mentor a growing cost team, and work with clients to deliver value through rigorous cost control.

You will apply Earned Value Management, industry benchmarks and established contract knowledge while engaging with schedule, risk and project controls teams to ensure successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Proven cost management experience on complex infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of industry benchmarks and work breakdown structures; methods of measurement (RMM, NRM).
• Strong network in energy and/or infrastructure sectors.
• Leadership to direct and manage project teams.
• Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and project controls.
• Knowledge of NEC/FIDIC/IChemE contracts and commercial accountability.
• Experience on major projects/programmes.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of cost management across complex infrastructure programmes.
• Build long-term client relationships and contribute to business development.
• Monitor, analyse and control cost performance against targets.
• Challenge engineering teams to identify cost-efficient solutions.
• Interface with schedule, risk and wider project controls.
• Develop and mentor Cost Managers and Assistant Cost Managers.
