Capstone Recruitment UK is seeking a Senior - Associate Cost Manager specializing in energy infrastructure to support major electricity projects in London/Kent. You will manage costs, commercial reporting and client-side contract administration.

You should have proven senior QS experience, interconnectors, and familiarity with FIDIC Silver Book. This role offers a competitive salary and the opportunity to shape economics for critical energy infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Cost Manager or Quantity Surveyor within a consultancy environment.
• Experience working on interconnectors.
• FIDIC contract experience is essential, ideally the Silver Book.
• Strong capability in cost control, change management, forecasting and the assessment of claims.
• Confident communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to advise clients on complex commercial matters.

Responsibilities

• Manage costs, commercial reporting and forecasting throughout project delivery.
• Provide client-side commercial management and administration of EPC contracts.
• Assess payments, variations and claims, maintaining clear supporting records.
• Identify commercial risks and advise on mitigation.
• Support negotiations and the agreement of final accounts.
• Coordinate with technical, procurement and legal teams to support informed commercial decisions.
