Job summary

Gleeds is seeking a Senior/Executive Cost Manager/Quantity Surveyor to join our Midlands team, with options to base in Nottingham or Birmingham. You will lead cost management for education projects, particularly schools, ensuring high-quality deliverables and strategic procurement approaches.

You will work with Directors, mentor colleagues, and drive growth across business units while maintaining strong client relationships and delivering cost certainty.

Qualifications

• MRICS qualification is desirable.
• Experience in cost management on education projects preferred.
• Strong cost estimating, planning and procurement knowledge.
• Excellent communication and numerical analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Directors in delivering business objectives.
• Engage with customers and manage relationships.
• Prepare and present cost estimates and option studies.
• Manage tender processes and evaluate tenders.
• Mentor junior staff and drive service delivery for profitability.
