Job Summary

VIRTUS is seeking a Senior Cost Manager to support programmatic cost management services across all projects and EMEA regions, reporting directly to the Vice President Procurement.

Responsibilities

1. Own cost management activities for new build projects from site selection to hand-over, as well as major investment projects.
2. Monitor financial aspects of investment projects and ensure budget compliance.
3. Review project costs and benchmark against best-in-class standards.
4. Manage EMEA-wide investment projects commercially.
5. Conduct monthly cost reviews, generate reports, and review variations and budgets.
6. Collaborate with Business Development, Design & Build teams, and internal/external cost management teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in cost management, preferably in data centers or construction.
• Over 10 years of experience in QS or cost management roles.
• Professional recognition (e.g., RICS).
• Experience in hyperscale data centers and managing multiple projects.
• Regional experience in UK, GE, IT.
• Multilingual in English and German preferred.
• Strong presentation, analytical, financial, and numeracy skills.
• Experience from early due diligence to final account and lessons learned.
• Ability to develop and manage budgets and prioritize workloads.
