Electus Recruitment Solutions is looking for a senior cost management professional to shape delivery across complex infrastructure programmes. The role offers hybrid working in the Bristol/Cardiff area and a salary up to £65,000 with clear opportunities to influence technical standards and business growth.

You will lead cost management across major projects, monitor performance, develop reporting and forecasting approaches, and mentor teams while working closely with project controls,

Qualifications

• Experience in cost management within infrastructure or energy sectors.
• Background in cost control, forecasting and commercial performance on major projects.
• Experience in a consultancy environment with client relationships and supporting project teams.
• Degree in construction, quantity surveying, finance or related discipline; professional membership desirable.

• Develop cost reporting, forecasting and performance measurement approaches, using relevant industry systems and digital tools.

What you will need

• Proven experience in cost management within the infrastructure or energy sectors.
• A strong background in cost control, forecasting and commercial performance across major projects or programmes.
• Experience working within a consultancy environment, managing client relationships and supporting project teams.
• A degree in construction, quantity surveying, finance or a related discipline, with relevant professional membership or accreditation desirable.

What you will be doing

Your technical experience

• Strong understanding of cost planning, cost breakdown structures, industry benchmarks and recognised methods of measurement.
• Experience with earned value management, cost forecasting and project performance reporting.
• Commercial and quantity surveying knowledge, including familiarity with standard forms of construction contract.
• Ability to work across project controls disciplines, including programme and risk management.
• Confidence using cost management software, reporting tools and data analysis systems.
• Strong communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence technical and commercial decisions.
