Job summary

QinetiQ seeks a Senior Cost Engineer to support very complex (LCM 4) Projects at all stages from bidding through delivery. You will develop estimates and Basis of Estimate, conduct cost/risk analyses, manage cost tooling and provide specialist cost engineering advice.

Role requires SC clearance eligibility and is based at Boscombe Down or Bristol with hybrid pattern. The successful candidate will lead cost assessment, advise on governance and assurance, and collaborate with enabling functions to

Qualifications

Applies detailed/in-depth knowledge and experience of cost engineering, understanding the full project lifecycle, expert in quantitative analysis techniques.
Understanding of wider project management and controls techniques, governance, reporting, change control and cost control.

Responsibilities

Drives best practice and implementation of cost engineering for bids, projects and programmes.
Develops and maintains high-quality estimates and basis of estimate.
Produces reports on cost data to support decision making.
Leads complex projects (LCM 4) on solving problems and implementing cost solutions.
Develops Cost Assessment and Analysis such as QCRA models and interprets outputs.
