Job summary

McDermott International in the United Kingdom is seeking a Principal Cost Controls Specialist to lead the cost team on a large EPC LNG project, develop the WBS, implement project controls, and ensure the accuracy of cost reports.

You will drive cost forecasting, risk analysis, and change management while mentoring junior staff. A hybrid work setup is offered with potential international project exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field as preferred.
• 10+ years experience in Project Controls on mega EPC LNG/Oil & Gas projects.
• Strong knowledge of EVM, scheduling, risk analysis and change management.
• Experience applying cost controls on large-scale EPC projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project cost team on a large EPC LNG project.
• Support the development of the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
• Implement project controls plans and cost systems.
• Ensure accuracy of project cost reports.
• Lead cost forecasting, trend analysis and recovery plans.
• Mentor junior personnel in cost reporting and change management.
• Lead weekly/monthly cost and schedule reviews.
• Develop cost spreads and cash flows.
