Energy Jobline ZR in Brighton is seeking a Senior Cost Controller to oversee cost control and forecasting on major infrastructure projects within a hybrid work model.

Salary is £62,000 with excellent benefits and development opportunities; 2 days in the office and 3 days remote. You will manage budgets, accruals, EAC/ETC, and monthly cost reporting, collaborating with external partners and NEC contract compliance.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable extensive experience working in a cost management role within large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong analytical and numerical capability.
• Proactive, detail-oriented and able to operate effectively in a fast-paced project environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to work closely with senior project leaders.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to form effective working relationships with multiple stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Manage and control project budgets, commitments, actual costs and forecasts aligned to CBS.
• Forecast in month, in year and overall EAC with high accuracy.
• Prepare accruals reflecting VOWD/ACWP aligned to schedule.
• Update forecasts to maintain ETC accuracy.
• Produce monthly cost reports, including variances, trends and contingency drawdown.
• Report on cost performance via Earned Value Management and CPI.
• Review contractor cost reports and payments with external partners.
• Integrate external partner updates into main forecast.
• Manage full lifecycle of cost change events under NEC contracts.
• Monitor external cost impact assessments for early warnings and compensation events.
• Collaborate with planning, risk, change, and other controls functions.
• Support Quantitative Cost Risk Analysis (QCRA).
