Duration: 12 months fixed term contract

Sellick Partnership has been engaged on an exclusive basis to recruit a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cost Accountant – Project Lead, for a reputable financial services organization based in Greater Manchester.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading and coordinating the transition project with effective communication and teamwork.
• Managing project risks and issues.
• Overseeing cost accounting and reporting for specific business units and projects.
• Ensuring accurate and timely cost reporting for the UK trading business.
• Adhering to accounting standards and reviewing Balance Sheet controls.
• Developing strategic improvements and efficiency plans.
• Delivering standalone initiatives as required.
• Collaborating with key finance and business areas for effective reporting and analysis.
• Documenting processes and maintaining standards.

The ideal candidate will have significant industry experience, preferably in financial services, with a proven track record in cost/business control, management accounting, and project management. Strong communication, influencing, and presentation skills are essential, along with commercial acumen and critical review abilities. A strong academic background and career ambition are also desired.
