Sellick Partnership has been engaged on an exclusive basis to recruit a Senior Cost Accountant – Project Lead for a leading financial services organisation based in Greater Manchester.

This is a 12 months fixed-term contract.

Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you will lead a transition project, ensuring accurate cost capture and collaboration with various teams and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Leading and coordinating the transition project with clear communication and teamwork.
2. Managing project risks and issues.
3. Overseeing cost accounting and reporting for specific business units and projects, providing detailed cost analysis.
4. Ensuring accurate and timely cost reporting for the UK trading business.
5. Adhering to accounting standards and reviewing Balance Sheet controls.
6. Assisting in creating strategic improvements and efficiency plans.
7. Developing and delivering standalone initiatives.
8. Collaborating with key Finance and business areas to ensure effective reporting, analysis, processes, and systems.
9. Documenting all processes and updating them as needed to meet standards.

The ideal candidate will have significant industry experience, preferably in financial services, with a proven track record in cost/business control, management accounting, project management, and cost accounting.
