Job summary

Armstrong Watson LLP is seeking a Corporate Tax Director/Partner to join the Kendal team. The role focuses on delivering senior tax services, building client relationships, and driving growth within the Tax Consultancy Service Line.

You will lead a portfolio of clients, manage budgets and fees, and uphold the firm’s standards while pursuing strategic business development opportunities. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Kendal, UK.

Qualifications

• CTA qualified or equivalent qualification.
• Seen as a thought leader in their area of expertise to the external marketplace.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Tax Relationship Partner for a portfolio of existing clients.
• Deliver and prioritise all relevant client work and ensure effective workflow for your team.
• Oversee and ensure establishment of scope and budget for each piece of work.
• Ensure fee agreements are in place and discuss likely fees before commencement to maximise fee recovery.
• Monitor work progress and maintain communication with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Carry out closure discussions with clients and seek referrals.
• Ensure implementation of client work in line with budget and Armstrong Watson procedures.
• Adhere to Tax Consultancy Service Line Standards and Risk Procedures.
• Undertake business development to achieve fee targets.
