Job summary

ISS STOXX Governance seeks a Corporate Governance Research Analyst to join its Custom team. This role develops tailored proxy voting recommendations and governance reports for institutional clients across Europe.

Responsibilities include data gathering, policy analysis, and client-facing research, with collaboration across technology, sales, and account teams. Strong MS Office skills and English communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree is required in Law and/or Finance, or equivalent.
• Experience in the proxy voting industry is a plus.
• Strong MS Office proficiency.
• Excellent English writing and oral communication skills.
• Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide proxy vote recommendations and rationale based on client guidelines.
• Gather governance data from public documents.
• Collaborate with institutional investors to update/formulate voting guidelines.
• Complete client-specific projects.
• Support policy research and client-focused reports.
• Contribute to seasonal reviews and client calls.
• Engage with market participants in governance discussions.
• Answer queries on research analyses and vote recommendations.
• Contribute to governance policy formulation and updates.
• Work with Corporate Technology to develop and improve related applications.
• Coordinate with Sales to ensure positive client experience.
