Job summary

Eventus Legal in Coventry seeks a Senior Conveyancing Solicitor to lead the residential conveyancing department with ownership of a personal caseload. The role offers hybrid working (one day from home weekly) and a clear pathway toward Associate level and Partnership for the right candidate.

The package includes a salary of £45,000–£55,000, 23 days’ holiday, enhanced sick pay, free onsite parking and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor with strong residential conveyancing experience and the ability to manage a varied caseload independently.
• Experience supervising, mentoring or supporting other conveyancing fee earners and support staff.
• Excellent knowledge of regulatory and risk requirements in residential conveyancing.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day delivery, performance and development of the residential conveyancing department while maintaining a personal caseload.
• Manage a personal residential conveyancing caseload from instruction through to completion, including high-value matters.
• Allocate and oversee workloads to ensure matters progress efficiently and resources are used effectively.
• Maintain high standards of client care, communication and file management across the department.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and professional obligations (SRA, CQS, AML, GDPR, lender panels).
• Undertake file reviews and work with compliance for audits and quality standards.
• Monitor departmental performance, billing, WIP and profitability, and contribute to budgeting.
• Support development of departmental business plans and build referrer relationships.
