Job summary

• Previous experience within a residential conveyancing team.
• A good understanding of the conveyancing process and terminology.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A professional and confident telephone manner.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate records.
• Ability to prioritise and manage a busy workload with multiple deadlines.
• Confidence working independently and using your own initiative.
• Strong client care and high-quality service mindset.
• Good IT skills, including Word and Excel.
• Experience using a legal case management system; SOS Connect is advantageous.
• A positive and proactive approach within a wider team.

Responsibilities

• Support the Conveyancer with day-to-day progression of residential property transactions.
• Assist with transactions from instruction through to completion.
• Liaise directly with clients, provide regular updates and respond to queries.
• Act as a key contact for clients, telephone inquiries and visitors.
• Keep case management systems and client records up to date.
• Undertake administrative tasks to support the team.
• Identify issues and escalate to the Conveyancer when needed.
• Handle client monies in line with regulatory requirements.
• Support training and development of colleagues where appropriate.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high client service standards.
• Take ownership of workload and use initiative to progress transactions.
