Job summary

Adkins & Cheurfi Recruitment is seeking a Conveyancer in Peterlee to manage residential (and possibly commercial) property transactions from inception to completion.

This senior appointment requires meticulous legal detail, strong communication, and the ability to work with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, solicitors, and other parties to ensure smooth transfers of property ownership in compliance with current legislation.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor at any level or experienced licensed conveyancer.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough investigations into title deeds and property ownership records.
• Prepare and review contracts, transfer documents, and other legal paperwork related to property transactions.
• Liaise with clients to provide regular updates and respond promptly to enquiries.
• Coordinate with mortgage lenders, surveyors, local authorities, and other stakeholders to obtain necessary information and approvals.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, including the Law Society Conveyancing Protocol and anti-money laundering regulations.
• Manage and maintain accurate case files and documentation throughout each transaction.
• Identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise during the conveyancing process.
• Work efficiently to meet deadlines and manage caseload effectively.
• Assist in the preparation of completion statements and finalise financial transactions associated with conveyancing cases.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in property law and conveyancing practices.
