Job summary

Adkins & Cheurfi Recruitment is seeking a Conveyancer in Peterlee with a salary of £35,000–£60,000 per annum. The role covers residential (and possibly commercial) property transactions from inception to completion, requiring meticulous legal detail and strong communication to meet deadlines.

You will liaise with clients, agents, lenders and solicitors; conduct title and document reviews; prepare contracts and completion statements; maintain case files; ensure AML and Law Society Protocol

Responsibilities

• Conduct title deed investigations and verify ownership records
• Prepare and review contracts, transfer documents, and related papers
• Liaise with clients for updates and prompt enquiries
• Coordinate with lenders, surveyors, authorities to obtain information and approvals
• Ensure compliance with legislation including Law Society Conveyancing Protocol and AML regulations
• Maintain accurate case files and documentation throughout transactions
• Identify and resolve issues arising in the conveyancing process
• Work efficiently to meet deadlines and manage caseload
• Assist in preparing completion statements and finalise financial transactions
• Stay updated on changes in property law and conveyancing practices
