Job summary

Jaguar Land Rover is seeking a Controls & Test Manager to lead a skilled team across propulsion manufacturing. You will shape controls, automation, and data-driven strategies to raise efficiency, quality and safety while driving digital transformation in high-volume production environments.

You will collaborate across engineering disciplines, integrating Siemens and Rockwell platforms and developing software using Python, C#, and SQL.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in controls, automation, test engineering and industrial software development within high-volume manufacturing environments.
• Leading technical teams within manufacturing systems, controls, automation or test engineering functions.
• Applying expertise across Siemens and Rockwell PLC platforms, industrial communications and manufacturing system integration.
• Developing software solutions using Python, C#, SQL and related industrial applications.
• Experience with advanced manufacturing technologies, robotics, data analytics and digital manufacturing solutions; propulsion or battery manufacturing knowledge is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of controls, test and manufacturing systems engineers, providing technical guidance and coaching.
• Drive improvements in manufacturing performance, reducing downtime, scrap and process variation.
• Define and standardise controls, automation and reporting architectures across facilities.
• Deliver digitalisation initiatives that improve visibility, traceability and decision-making.
• Act as SME for controls, automation, test engineering and manufacturing systems, prioritising safety.
