Zusammenfassung

Rivan Industries, a London-based synthetic fuel company, seeks a Lead Controls Engineer to scale and safeguard our pilot deployments as we roll out thousands of plants.

You will own functional safety, optimise distributed control systems, standardise PLC/SCADA patterns across sites, and develop remote diagnostics and fleet-wide monitoring capable of handling a global rollout. Significant relocation support and equity participate in the early team.

Qualifikationen

• Lead design, commissioning, and lifecycle ownership of distributed control systems in hazardous environments.
• Experience implementing safety functions under IEC 61508, including SRS development and SIL verification.
• Delivered systems compliant with CE/UKCA directives.
• Proficient in IEC 61131-3 programming (ST/LD/FBD) and HMI design.
• Integration and troubleshooting of industrial communications (Modbus TCP/RTU, CANbus, OPC-UA) across multi-site systems.
• Hands-on commissioning and fault-finding on complex industrial systems.

Aufgaben

• Own functional safety for our systems - ensuring compliance with risk controls (HAZOP/HAZID, Cause & Effect, Fault Tree)
• Manage the performance and reliability of deployed control systems
• Design control architectures scalable from pilot to thousands of deployments
• Standardise PLC, SCADA, and telemetry patterns across sites
• Develop remote diagnostics and fleet-wide monitoring capability
