Job summary
Caledonian Recruitment Group Ltd seeks a pragmatic Controls & Commissioning Engineer to work with engineering, PM, manufacturing and supplier teams. You will test PLC/HMI software (Siemens PCS7/TIA Portal/WinCC; Rockwell Studio 5000), assist FAT/Pre-FAT/iFAT, perform commissioning, and resolve software issues.
You will verify FDS, SLDs, P&ID and related docs, and provide technical support to customers and suppliers.
Qualifications
- PLC/HMI software testing and verification
- Instrumentation and Control systems in safe area and ATEX environments
- I/O verification and control system testing
- Instrumentation and control troubleshooting and commissioning
- PLC programming and troubleshooting
- HMI development and modification
- Engineering Documentation
- FAT/Pre-FAT/iFAT knowledge
- SIF and Safety concepts
- Cause & Effect verification
Responsibilities
- Support design verification, FAT readiness, commissioning and software issue closure
- Provide practical engineering support during delivery activities
- Cause & Effect verification and functional testing
- Controlled software updates and configuration management
- Supplier and customer technical support
- Travel for site activities as needed
