Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an innovative Control Systems Engineer to enhance automation and SCADA capabilities in Randburg. This role focuses on modernizing industrial processes, ensuring efficient operation, data acquisition, and remote monitoring with cutting-edge technology.

The successful candidate will design, implement, and maintain control systems that drive productivity and safety across operations, leveraging Siemens TIA Portal and Rockwell Studio 5000 in a dynamic automation environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial automation and control systems engineering.
Proficiency with PLC programming software (e.g., Siemens TIA Portal, Rockwell Studio 5000) and SCADA platforms.
Understanding of instrumentation, sensors, and actuators used in industrial processes.
Experience with network configuration and troubleshooting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Design, program, and commission PLCs and DCS.
Develop and maintain SCADA systems for real-time monitoring.
Configure and troubleshoot industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Modbus).
Develop automation strategies to improve process efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
Collaborate with instrumentation engineers to ensure accurate data input.
Provide technical support for control system hardware and software issues.
