Job summary

Abbott in Witney is seeking a Controls Engineer to join the Operations Group, delivering advanced control solutions for motion control equipment and automated machinery. You will interpret PLC codes, debug issues and contribute to continuous improvement, working within a highly regulated environment and with state-of-the-art automation.

The role demands experience in automation projects, a proven track record with PLC/HMI/Motion control, and good documentation practices.

Qualifications

• Qualified to HNC level or higher in Electrical, Electronic or Control Engineering; apprenticeship considered.
• Track record of fault finding and modification to PLC, HMI and Motion Control for automated machinery.
• Experience with Siemens S7/TIA Portal and Allen Bradley Studio 5000 is essential; structured language knowledge desirable.
• Ability to follow procedures and create accurate documents.
