Job summary

Automation Experts in Leicestershire seeks an experienced Control Systems Manager to lead the delivery of advanced automation and robotic systems for global customers. The role combines technical leadership with hands‑on engineering across complex special purpose machinery projects.

You will manage a team of software, commissioning and electrical engineers, oversee PLC programming, safety systems, and documentation, and drive standardisation across projects while maintaining high delivery

Qualifications

• Experience leading control system projects from concept through commissioning and handover.
• Proficient with PLC platforms such as Omron, Siemens or Allen-Bradley.
• Knowledge of robotics integration and machine automation.
• Strong understanding of electrical schematics and pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage delivery of all control system projects on time and budget.
• Lead and manage controls engineering projects from concept to commissioning and handover.
• Oversee Software & Commissioning and Electrical Engineers.
• Design and develop machine control and safety systems.
