Job summary

Mott MacDonald is recruiting a Senior C&I Engineer to join the Nuclear: Defence and Civil team. You will support production of C&I designs and collaborate with other disciplines to deliver high-quality solutions for defence and nuclear projects in the UK.

The role requires a degree in electrical engineering, working towards IEng/CEng, and knowledge of control systems, safety and CDM. We offer hybrid working and extensive employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Working towards professional registration with IEng/CEng.
• Knowledge of control and instrumentation engineering.
• Design basis to P&ID development and systems architecture drawings.
• Field instrumentation, cable routing and management, and safety systems.

Responsibilities

• Support the execution of control and instrumentation work on projects per design instructions and procedures.
• Work to safety, quality, man-hour plans, cost budgets and project schedules.
• Assist in identifying and planning C&I scopes of work.
• Contribute to project planning and execution activities.
• Prepare design deliverables such as drawings, calculations, and specifications.
• Liaise with other engineering disciplines and clients as required.
• Ensure compliance with CDM, safety, environmental and site licence conditions.
• Apply legislation and project policies and design standards in day-to-day work.
