Job Description:

An international leader in their field, part of a global group with a high volume of new business, has now created a number of Senior Controls Engineer roles to take the technical lead for various projects in the UK, Europe, and Worldwide.

£60,000 - £80,000 + Profit Share + Overtime + Full Benefits Package

Senior Control Engineer - The Role:

• Be responsible for creating and developing PLC controls and software solutions for special purpose automated machinery projects.
• Deliver control and safety systems that comply with national and international standards.
• Program and commission various robots - KUKA, Fanuc, ABB.
• Test and debug software applications and produce detailed test plans.
• Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and team members.
• Test within the factory and on customer sites.
• Contribute to a team dedicated to delivering projects on time and within budget.

Senior Control Engineer - The Person:

• 5+ years of experience in a similar role, ideally with Rockwell / Allen Bradley; other PLCs considered with training available.
• Proven track record of delivering machine control system projects successfully.
• Experience in automation and production machinery design, with a hands-on approach preferred.
• Experience with vision systems, HMIs, motion control, or robotics is beneficial.
• Strong commercial sense and ability to work directly with customers.
• Willing to travel nationally and internationally for commissioning (1-2 weeks a few times per year).
• Excellent interpersonal skills to foster a positive, team-oriented environment.
• Proactive, flexible, and comfortable working in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.

Located in the Dundee area, relocation assistance can be provided. The role is also open to experienced individuals currently living in the UK who require sponsorship.
