Senior Contracts Manager – Construction Delivery

Job summary

Guildmore is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join the Midlands & North team and lead the delivery of a portfolio of construction contracts from mobilisation through to completion and defects close-out.

This is a senior operational role with visible leadership across projects, ensuring safety, programme adherence, quality and customer service, while monitoring commercial performance and stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing multiple construction contracts or a major complex contract.
• Strong programme management experience, including Microsoft Project or equivalent.
• Good understanding of construction contracts, change control, notices and contractual requirements.
• Experience with commercial forecasting, cash flow, cost-to-complete and risk management.
• Strong leadership skills and experience managing project teams and supply chains.
• Strong understanding of health, safety, environmental and quality requirements.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and construction information-management systems.

Responsibilities

• Leading multiple contracts from mobilisation through to completion.
• Managing programme, delivery, quality, safety and compliance.
• Monitoring commercial performance, cash flow, forecasts, risks and opportunities.
• Ensuring contractual obligations, notices, records and reporting are managed effectively.
• Leading project teams and managing subcontractor performance.
• Building strong relationships with clients, residents and key stakeholders.
• Driving quality, defect resolution and audit-ready project records.
• Identifying and implementing recovery plans where projects face programme, commercial or delivery challenges.
• Developing and supporting project teams through effective leadership, coaching and performance management.
