Spinwell is recruiting for a Senior Contracts Manager for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.

Responsibilities of the Senior Contracts Manager

1. Create a motivated, skilled, and professional contract management team to deliver contract performance outcomes aligned with business and HMG requirements.
2. Act as a subject matter expert for assigned contracts, providing professional advice to facilitate effective delivery of contract objectives.
3. Ensure all responsible contracts have a robust Contract Management Plan covering performance management, invoicing, risk management, and reviews.
4. Ensure contract delivery complies with business systems, priorities, and conduct internal audits for government regulation compliance.
5. Collaborate with stakeholders and leadership to understand business needs and promote contract best practices, influencing decision-makers for optimal solutions.
6. Implement Supplier Relationship Management frameworks for key suppliers to manage risks, performance, and value.
7. Support development and execution of Supplier Strategies to minimize risk and maximize value.
8. Provide best practice contract advice to support procurement activities, including contract templates and bespoke terms.
9. Ensure contracts maximize value for money with clear performance metrics, KPIs, and obligations.
10. Lead contract negotiations and develop strategies to mitigate risks, including litigation strategies if necessary.
11. Develop trusted industry alliances through supplier relationship strategies to foster innovation and efficiency.

Skills and Experience

1. Post-contract management experience.
2. Experience with professional services contracts is highly beneficial.
3. Experience working within a team on large contracts.
4. Public sector experience.
5. Knowledge of NEC / CCS contracts is useful.
