Role: Contracts Manager REF 85394
Contract Length: 12 months
Location: Hybrid/Aldermaston - minimum one day per week onsite
IR35: Inside
Pay Rate to Intermediary: Market Rate
Security Clearance: SC requested

Spinwell is recruiting for a Contracts Manager for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CONTRACTS MANAGER

  • Monitor and mitigate contract risks (including Quality, Environmental & Health and Safety, supplier fragility and supplier co-dependency), develop and implement corrective action plans for the identified risks.
  • Maintain effective record keeping and change management of the contract in accordance with the contractual governance procedures.
  • Undertake contract financial analysis to identify root cause of performance failure or cost risk and present findings.
  • Ensuring legal compliance with contracts by monitoring changes in laws or regulations that may affect the company's ability to meet its obligations and mitigate any potential conflict of interest or breach of company ethic's policy.
  • Management of the contractor incentive model and recommending any pain / gain share providing performance feedback
  • Ensure there is an effective contract reporting and engagement strategy in place to enable all key stakeholders to be aligned to contracts risks and opportunities.
  • Supporting the assessment and settlement of contractor claims and formal dispute resolution process to enable contract close out strategy.
  • Identify and estimate the likelihood and impact of contract-related risk, establish mitigation methods aligned to business needs and track effectiveness of those mitigations.
  • Deliver the SRM delivery plan for all assigned critical suppliers.
  • Establishing a high level of credibility and manage complex working relationships with internal and external parties including both commercial and government partners.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE CONTRACTS MANAGER

  • Post contract management experience
  • Professional services contracts experience - very beneficial
  • Working within a team of 5 or 6 on large contracts
  • Public sector experience
  • NEC / CCS contracts useful
  • CEMAR or similar contract management system experience
  • Stakeholder management skills
