Location: Shrewsbury Area

Type: Permanent / Full-Time

A well-established, multi-discipline contracting company specializing in Building Repairs & Refurbishment, Groundworks & Minor Civils, Landscape Management, and Electrical Engineering is seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Manager to join their team in the Shrewsbury area.

Role Overview:

You will manage multiple ongoing projects from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring delivery within budget and time constraints. This senior role involves managing both directly employed labour and subcontractors, developing contract management strategies, and building strong relationships with clients and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage projects from pre-construction to completion
• Oversee directly employed labour and subcontractors to ensure timely, budget-compliant delivery
• Create and maintain work programmes and project plans using Microsoft Project
• Develop and implement contract management strategies and processes
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders
• Report to the Operations Director at Head Office
• Collaborate with Estimators and Quantity Surveyors on budgets and schedules
• Lead a team including two Contracts Managers and about 10 operatives

Candidate Requirements:

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in groundworks contract management
• Valid SMSTS certification
• Current First Aid at Work qualification
• Valid CSCS card
• Strong commercial acumen with multi-project contract management experience
• Experience with Microsoft Project for scheduling
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills

Package:

• Salary: £60,000 - £70,000, depending on experience
