• Licensed to practise law in the UK, Europe, US, or Canada with 5+ PQE.
• Track record of leading complex pre‑M&A negotiations, including cross‑border matters.
• Strong experience in senior stakeholder engagement with financial services clients.
• Proven ability to drive AI/legal tech adoption within the team.
• Mentor and develop junior lawyers with structured feedback.
• Commercially savvy and able to manage external counsel spend.

Responsibilities

• Lead high‑value, complex pre‑M&A negotiations and cross‑border matters.
• Own key client relationships with sophisticated funds and asset managers.
• Manage external counsel instructions and supervision across matters.
• Drive adoption of Carta's AI/legal tech tools within the team.
• Mentor junior lawyers and senior paralegals with structured feedback.
• Develop and maintain the firm‑wide standard clause library and playbooks.
