Role: Senior Contracts and Procurement Manager
Reports to: General Manager Upstream
Functional area: Prax Upstream Limited (PUL) – Commercial, Contracts and Procurement

We are now recruiting for a Senior Contracts and Procurement Manager for our Upstream business based in Weybridge, Surrey.
Senior Contracts and Procurement Manager will lead PUL’s Contracts and Procurement (C&P) activities, in support of production operations, development projects, business development and well related activities. This role will support wider commercial negotiations and related upstream agreements.
Key Responsibilities
• Member of PUL Leadership Team,
• Functionally responsible for leading and directing PUL’s contracts and procurement activities
• Specific responsibility for all C&P activities in accordance with the Authority Level Matrix
• Accountable for maintenance of, and compliance with, C&P processes and procedures
• Developing robust C&P strategies
• Sourcing, engaging and building effective relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors
• Interface with all stakeholders and provide specialist advice and support to identify improvements to enhance business delivery
• Lead and participate in tendering, bid evaluation, clarification and contract award recommendations
• Lead and negotiate contracts and related call-off orders
• Co-ordinate Tender Review Boards and/or contract approval processes as required
• Manage contracts to provide logistic support (ERRV, Helicopters, Supply Vessels and Onshore Marine Bases, etc.) to facilitate safe and efficient operations
• Monitor contract validity/expiry dates and suitability of contracts, to ensure contracts remain active and fit-for purpose
• Ensure valid insurances and purchase orders are in place
• Lead contract administration and close out activities
• Ensure compliance with internal, regulatory and third-party C&P reporting requirements
• Participate in internal and external C&P related audits, ensuring timely closure of actions
• Lead and negotiate inventory disposals (where disposal is necessary), ensuring all related contractual documentation is in place
• Support wider commercial negotiations and drafting of contracts to support other PUL commercial activities
Skills, Expertise and Competencies
• Experience of working for an Operator is essential
• Degree qualified with a minimum of 15 years progressive experience in the oil and gas industry
• Tier 1 / Service Company experience is preferable
• Proven EH&S and management leadership experience
• Experience of working in a functional matrix organisation is preferable
• Experience and proficiency in developing fit-for-purpose C&P processes
• Demonstrable experience in analysing the market and developing robust contracting and procurement strategies
• Excellent negotiating skills and practical experience in leading successful contract negotiations, to secure favorable terms and risk profile for the Company
• Highly motivated with excellent analytical and interpersonal skills
• Able to work both independently and as part of multi-disciplined teams
• Organized and capable of setting priorities
• Able to work to tight deadlines and perform effectively under pressure
• Borad and detailed knowledge of a range of commercial structures and contracts
• Significant experience in development of tender packages and leading the complete tender process
