Job Description:

DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW

MJ Quinn provides critical infrastructure and energy support in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing works. Our project department delivers high-quality design and installation works to public services, particularly in healthcare, energy, and communications sectors.

JOB OBJECTIVE

Reporting to our Managing Director, this role is responsible for managing the effective and efficient delivery of a new ongoing M&E construction project and taking full responsibility for all personnel working on that contract and delivering services to the required SLA. Developing strong commercial relationships to expand the offer locally.

Your role will include:

  • Ensuring health, safety, and wellbeing of all personnel is the top priority and that all jobs are completed in line with H&S requirements.
  • Travel 20%-25% of the time
  • Negotiating contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Planning work and organizing labor in line with service requirements to ensure timely and within-budget completion.
  • Identifying ways to increase efficiency and improve productivity within onsite teams.
  • Corresponding with external stakeholders to document all activities.
  • Compiling and delivering presentations to clients and suppliers.
  • Collecting and collating data for forecasting and planning purposes.
  • Leading and motivating project teams to ensure policies and procedures are consistently applied.
  • Ensuring all work complies with contractual obligations, industry standards, and company standards.
  • Providing timely and accurate client updates and ensuring transparent accounting throughout the contract.

Experience:

  • Previous experience working on NEC 3-4 contracts.
  • Experience in healthcare project delivery from a contract management perspective.
  • Recognized Building Services Qualification – ONC / HNC in Building Services Engineering.
  • Strong experience in programme / contract management.
  • Solid mechanical & electrical system background to understand installation systems.
  • Enjoy challenges, have excellent interpersonal skills, and can communicate effectively at all levels.
