The role

We are looking for a Senior Contract Manager to join the Procurement and Commercial team on one of our established offshore wind farms. You will work closely with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure the continued performance of the assets. Your responsibilities include creating and managing an annual budget, managing long-term service and maintenance contracts, and procuring all necessary goods and services in line with programme requirements, including all post-contract administration. The role is based out of the Glasgow office, with expected travel to the operations and maintenance base as required, typically once every 2 or 3 months.

You will
  1. Lead and manage the procurement of essential work scopes, ensuring lowest cost of ownership, efficiency, and best value. This includes covering all commercial, business, and legal project risks in contracts and negotiating terms and conditions to ensure ongoing value for money throughout the contract's lifetime.
  2. Manage all post-contract commercial matters, including negotiating/agreeing compensation events and ensuring the implementation of the core principles of the Commercial Manual.
  3. Comply with all safety policies and procedures, promoting safety and safe working practices internally and externally to improve safety performance.
  4. Develop and support relationships with main suppliers and contractors, liaising with points of contact on projects and contracts.
  5. Deliver all projects and contracts within your area of responsibility and approved budget authorizations.
You have
  1. An understanding of offshore wind markets, asset management support contracts, commodities, and services required by the business. Support the development of project business cases during early project stages to identify optimal operational and commercial contract models and procurement strategies to ensure production and delivery targets are met or exceeded, maintaining warranted asset availability.
  2. A Quantity Surveying Degree, Procurement qualification, or equivalent, with membership in a recognized professional body preferred.
  3. Experience in a similar role responsible for procuring and managing contracts, suppliers, and subcontractors, with knowledge of relevant contract conditions (NEC/Logic).
  4. Experience in drafting and interpreting commercial contracts, along with cost and budget management skills.
  5. Proven stakeholder engagement and management abilities.
