Are you passionate about telling stories and delivering powerful content that builds understanding, inspires action and drives change? Do you have the skills, knowledge and experience to lead WWT’s content team to deliver engaging and creative content that speaks to a wide range of audiences?
This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-respected organisation with an ambitious mission to restore wetlands and inspire others to value and protect these incredible habitats. This role will put content right at the core of WWT’s communications and engagement activity, telling measurably impactful stories of wetlands and the work WWT does to unlock their superpowers.
Based in the Communications team, the Senior Content Manager will lead the development of a new content strategy for WWT, designed to elevate WWT’s voice, build brand awareness and deepen engagement with our visitors, supporters and partners. Leading a talented and creative team of content creators, you’ll work with colleagues from conservation teams to wetland centre staff and volunteers, to showcase the wonder of wetlands and the impact of WWT’s work across the UK and beyond.
You’ll have proven experience of developing successful content strategies that deliver high-quality, engaging and audience-focused content. You’ll understand how to optimise and enhance dynamic content plans that reach a range of audiences and support ambitious communications and campaign objectives. With an eye for a good story, you’ll bring our projects, our science and our work to life, and put wetlands at the heart of the conservation debate.
This role is based at WWT Slimbridge Wetland Centre in Gloucestershire. We support hybrid working with an expectation for this role to be in Slimbridge at least two days a week. On occasion, travel to our 10 wetland centres located across the UK, as well as our conversation projects, will be required.
We’re WWT, and we’re on a mission to restore the super-powered ecosystems we call wetlands. There’s never been a more important moment for our work, and we’ve got some phenomenal people on the case.
Whether they’re taking a new visitor under their wing, or conducting ground-breaking research further afield, our team are second to none. And there’s nothing we love more than watching them soar.
Whatever you do here, you’ll be helping to restore wetlands and unlock their power. So, the only question left is, what role will you play?
WWT is an equal opportunities employer and all applications will be considered solely on merit.
