Job summary

What the role covers

HKA is recruiting a Senior Consultant into its Quantum Expert Services team in London, on a hybrid basis. The post sits within the Claims, Consulting and Expert Services practice and supports expert witness and dispute resolution assignments on construction matters internationally.

The work is detailed quantum analysis and damages assessment on construction and engineering disputes, covering:

• variations
• prolongation
• disruption
• productivity losses
• other heads of claim

The holder manages large volumes of project, contractual and financial information, drafts sections of expert reports and supporting materials for arbitration, adjudication and litigation, and assists experts in developing, testing and evidencing their opinions. Client facing workstreams, mentoring of junior team members and support to business development form part of the role.

HKA asks for a degree in quantity surveying, commercial management, construction management, engineering or a related discipline, with experience gained in construction disputes, claims consultancy or an expert witness environment, and demonstrable work supporting expert appointments and formal dispute resolution.
