Job summary

Baringa Partners LLP is seeking a Senior Consultant for Government Home Affairs. You will work across the criminal justice system, partnering with Policing, Defence, Justice and Home Office clients to drive transformation that improves citizen outcomes.

You will conduct structured analysis, develop robust business cases, design operating models and support delivery of high‑security government programmes, leveraging AI and data initiatives to inform decisions.

Qualifications

• Experience in government/public sector projects or delivery.
• Ability to structure ambiguous problems and communicate evidence-based insights.
• Confidence collaborating with client teams and internal specialists in fast-paced delivery environments.
• Curiosity about technology, digital data and AI for public services.

Responsibilities

• Conduct structured analysis and modelling to assess policy impacts and translate insights into recommendations.
• Support robust business cases, funding submissions and options appraisals for new services or ways of working across government.
• Contribute to the design of operating models, service blueprints and delivery approaches for government functions.
• Support transformation programmes to improve citizen outcomes, public safety and resilience.
• Analyse and improve front- and back-office processes in high-security environments.
• Work with client teams to embed change, track benefits and support implementation.
• Contribute to digital, data and AI initiatives to solve data challenges and support evidence-led decision-making.
• Share best practices from industry and government in client work.
• Assist with commercial and procurement activities, including market engagement and evaluation.
