Job summary

Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a Consultant Cellular Pathologist within the Berkshire/Surrey Pathology Services (BSPS) Network. The appointee should be medically qualified with broad diagnostic histopathology and cytopathology experience and hold FRCPath or equivalent training, with GMC registration.

The role includes leadership, teaching and service development across subspecialties.

Qualifications

• Proven expertise in diagnostic histopathology and cytopathology.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of histopathology and cytopathology services and lead in subspecialty areas.
• Attend MDT meetings and participate in external quality assurance and clinical audits.
• Supervise and report with junior medical staff.
• Lead in one or more subspecialty disciplines such as Gynecology screening, non-screening workload, or GIT workload.
