Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to join our Real Estate team in Newcastle. You will lead and oversee complex construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring outcomes align with time, budget and quality standards.

You will develop robust project plans, coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors and clients, and implement governance and risk mitigation throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering or related field.
• Demonstrable experience in managing large-scale construction projects.
• PMP certification.
• Proven track record delivering complex construction projects on time and budget.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes and industry best practices.
• Proficiency with MS Project and Primavera.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project management for large-scale construction projects within time, budget, and quality targets.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans including schedules, budgets, and resources.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors and clients to meet project objectives.
• Implement and oversee project governance, processes, and systems throughout the lifecycle.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
• Monitor project finances and manage change control processes.
• Facilitate clear communication among team members and stakeholders with regular meetings and reports.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health and environmental regulations.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities with existing and potential clients.
• Mentor and guide junior project managers for development.
