Job summary

Jacobs in the UK is seeking a Construction Planner to join our growing Project Controls team on major infrastructure programmes. Based in the North/Midlands, you’ll develop and manage schedules, support across design through handover, and drive project performance with strong planning expertise.

You’ll work in a hybrid setup, traveling to client sites and collaborating with project managers, engineers and contractors to deliver milestones and value on complex projects.

Qualifications

• Proven solid experience in project planning, scheduling or project controls within construction, infrastructure or engineering environments.
• Degree-qualified in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related discipline.
• Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 or similar planning software.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and manage project and programme schedules using Primavera P6 or equivalent planning software.
• Establish baselines and monitor progress against milestones and deliverables.
• Support project teams through all stages of delivery including design, procurement, construction and handover.
• Analyse schedule performance, identify trends and provide recommendations.
• Conduct critical path analysis, delay analysis and what-if scenario modelling.
• Identify risks and opportunities and support mitigation and acceleration strategies.
• Produce updates, look-ahead schedules, forecasting information and dashboards.
• Review contractor and supplier programmes and assess change impacts and compensation events.
