Job summary

Meriton Associates Ltd is seeking an experienced Operations Manager for its Building Division on the South Coast. You will oversee multiple live projects and directly manage a team of three Contracts Managers to ensure safe, profitable delivery and high-quality outcomes.

You will report to the senior leadership team, driving operational performance, providing strategic direction, and supporting project teams to meet programme, quality and commercial targets across a secure project pipeline.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a senior operational leadership role within a main contracting environment.
• Strong track record of delivering construction projects across sectors.
• Experience managing Contracts Managers and multi-project teams.
• Commercial awareness with solid project controls and profitability understanding.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of Contracts Managers.
• Oversee delivery of multiple construction projects from pre-construction to completion.
• Drive operational excellence across health & safety, quality, programme and commercial performance.
• Identify risks with project teams and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure projects are adequately resourced and supported.
• Build relationships with clients, consultants, supply chain and stakeholders.
• Support tender reviews, planning and business growth initiatives.
• Monitor performance against financial and operational objectives.
• Promote collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
