Job summary

Bechtel in London is seeking seasoned Construction Managers/Senior Field Engineers to support the Heathrow 3rd runway project. The role focuses on planning, coordination and documentation for the DCO process, covering civil, mechanical and electrical works, energy centre, waste treatment and baggage handling systems.

You will lead constructability reviews, develop execution plans, and drive safe, compliant delivery in a live airport environment with multidisciplinary teams across design,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• 13–19 years of relevant experience in major civil infrastructure or 17–19 years in similar roles.
• Experience leading construction management on major civil projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead constructability reviews to optimise sequencing, logistics and methods.
• Draft construction methodologies to support planning.
• Coordinate with engineering/design consultants to reflect construction in designs.
• Develop site layouts, temporary works strategies, logistics and phasing for live environments.
• Lead construction execution planning, staffing and resource estimates.
• Collaborate with Procurement to build delivery strategies.
• Embed Zero Accident Philosophy and quality in design and execution planning.
• Support cost estimates, budgets, risk assessments and progress reporting.
