Job summary

Capsticks is seeking an ambitious construction litigator to join our growing Corporate and Commercial Law team. The role focuses on complex construction disputes across health, local government, and social housing sectors, with cases spanning JCT/NEC contracts and various dispute resolution methods.

The successful candidate will handle a varied caseload, work closely with partners, and contribute to strategic advisory across a national platform including London, Birmingham, Leeds and Manchester.

Qualifications

• Experience of construction disputes.
• Experience with JCT and NEC forms.
• Experience with ADR including adjudication.
• Ability to manage all stages pre-trial and trial.
• Ability to analyse complex contracts and identify risks.
• Ability to draft letters and correspondence with opposing solicitors.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and client focus.
• Excellent organisation and time management.
• Willingness to work flexibly and autonomously.
• Team-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

• Undertake a range of high value construction disputes for public and private sector clients.
• Advise on JCT/NEC contracts and dispute resolution strategies.
• Collaborate with partners and other team members across offices.
