Job summary

Holt Executive Ltd. seeks an experienced Senior Computer Vision Engineer to lead the development of advanced CV, perception and autonomous navigation technologies in Oxford. You will guide algorithms from design through validation, collaborating with Systems, GNC, Flight Dynamics, Software and Hardware teams.

The role covers architecture, verification, testing, and deployment, with mentoring duties and a hands-on technical leadership focus.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or similar.
• 5+ years' industrial or research experience in CV algorithm development and deployment.
• Strong understanding of CV, image processing, ML and DL.
• Proven experience taking CV algorithms from concept to deployment.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop advanced CV algorithms for object detection, tracking and 6DoF pose estimation.
• Contribute to CV subsystem architecture, requirements and performance budgets.
• Support selection, procurement and integration of LiDAR and camera systems.
• Lead verification and validation activities, including performance assessment and requirements verification.
• Support hardware-in-the-loop and integrated system testing.
• Integrate CV algorithms into embedded and flight software.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure software and hardware performance.
• Review engineering work and mentor less experienced engineers.
• Research and evaluate state-of-the-art CV technologies.
• Contribute to system-level engineering activities, including FMECA and FDIR.
• Help develop robust, scalable CV solutions.
