Job summary

Prodrive is seeking a Senior Composite Design Engineer to drive composite components from concept through manufacture for elite motorsport programmes. You will design across aero, body and chassis, working with analysts to optimise materials and processes, and deliver robust, manufacturable solutions within project timelines.

The role demands a degree in mechanical/automotive engineering, 5+ years in high-performance motorsport design, and strong CAD skills (Siemens NX; Teamcenter is a plus).

  • 5+ years in high-performance motorsport design environment.
  • Proven expertise designing composite components across aero, bodywork and chassis systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design composite components across aerodynamic, body and chassis systems.
  • Collaborate with Structural Analysts to optimise composite systems.
  • Produce concept designs and detailed solutions meeting performance, weight and cost targets.
  • Deliver CAD assemblies and detailed designs to timelines and budgets.
  • Release parts and BOMs, keeping data current throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with external suppliers and internal teams to ensure manufacturability and robustness.

With a new generation of race and rally programmes on our horizon, we’re entering a phase of growth and opportunity and are looking for talented engineers to help us design and develop elite performance vehicles that will ensure we stay ahead of the game.We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Composite Design Engineer to join our Engineering Vehicle Design group, to provide composite design expertise across a variety of high-performance motorsport programmes.
