Job summary

QED Legal LLP in the United Kingdom is seeking a Compliance Team Leader to support the Risk & Compliance function within a national practice. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced analyst or supervisor ready to take on more responsibility.

You will line-manage analysts, oversee workflow, and provide guidance on AML/CDD, conflicts, client onboarding, and risk assessments. The role involves escalation for higher-risk matters and collaboration with partners and senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Strong AML/CDD and conflicts experience.
• Experience in Business Acceptance / client onboarding.
• Around 4+ years in legal compliance.
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff.
• Ability to handle complex queries and make risk-based decisions.

Responsibilities

• Line manage and support junior and senior analysts.
• Manage workflow and allocate work across the team.
• Advise on complex CDD/KYC, AML and source of funds queries.
• Review conflicts of interest for clients and matters.
• Support client and matter inception and risk assessments.
• Escalate higher-risk matters as needed.
• Advise partners and senior stakeholders.
• Support process improvements and training.
