Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Compliance Officer to join a dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our legal practice.

Duties

1. Support the smooth running of the legal and compliance departments.
2. Undertake legal and regulatory research and support the drafting specialist.
3. Deliver key aspects of quality improvements.
4. Be an ambassador for compliance culture and standards.
5. Demonstrate the highest standards of compliance behaviour.
6. Raise awareness of regulatory requirements and compliance policies across the firm.
7. Report to the COLP and MLRO.

Experience

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Experience within a similar compliance officer or money laundering role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and familiarity with IT systems relevant to legal practice.
• Excellent organisational abilities with a proactive approach to time management.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with clients and colleagues professionally.
