Job Description:

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Compliance Officer to join a prominent UK law firm in Manchester. In this role, you will be a key component to the firm’s risk management across all areas of the business. You'll be actively involved in AML and anti-bribery processes, ensuring firmwide compliance in all areas. You’ll provide expert guidance on regulatory requirements and help to refine the future of internal compliance strategies. We are looking for someone with strong compliance experience in a similar role within a law firm. Equally, the ideal candidate has experience with conflict management and an understanding of current AML regulations.

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Work collaboratively to support client onboarding, due diligence, sanctions procedures, and AML risk assessments.
2. Support senior personnel in implementing systems and controls.
3. Assist with the preparation for annual audits and practicing certificate renewals.
4. Address queries related to Solicitors Accounts Rules, ensuring the firm adheres to regulatory standards.
5. Manage internal policies, ensuring processes are effectively implemented and queries are addressed.
6. Support external audits.
7. Deliver training and process improvements for compliance across the firm.
8. Track and report on compliance-related issues and actions.
