Job summary

Davies is seeking a Compliance Manager for Captive Management to lead the design, implementation and operation of the compliance framework across Bermuda, Guernsey and North America. You will oversee core controls, KYC, and regulatory interactions with BMA and GFSC, coordinating with external advisers and offshore teams.

You will guide onboarding, due diligence, sanctions screening and governance reporting while promoting a robust compliance culture and timely remediation of issues across Davies

Qualifications

• Experience in compliance, financial crime, risk, governance or legal within insurance, captive management or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of Bermuda regulatory expectations: BMA, AML/ATF, sanctions, KYC and due diligence.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the day-to-day compliance framework across Bermuda, Guernsey, North America and other jurisdictions.
• Provide practical compliance guidance to captive management leadership and operations.
• Manage BMA-related requirements for licensed insurers, Segregated Accounts, brokers, AML/ATF and record-keeping.
• Coordinate with GFSC and other local regulators, liaising with outsourced/offshore compliance arrangements.
• Lead client onboarding, periodic reviews, enhanced due diligence, sanctions screening and ongoing KYC.
• Deliver monitoring, horizon scanning, policy reviews, risk assessments, training and MI.
• Prepare compliance reports for boards and senior management.
• Act as day-to-day regulatory contact, escalating significant matters to Head of Legal and Compliance.
• Drive coordination with Divisional Compliance, Legal, Risk, and external advisers.
• Promote strong compliance culture across Davies Captive Management.
