Job summary

Remitly is seeking a Senior Data Analyst, Compliance, to join the analytics team in London on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will translate business requirements into data products, own the full requirement-to-reporting lifecycle, and work closely with data engineers to build scalable pipelines.

The role is hybrid, onsite three days per week, reporting to the Senior Manager for Compliance Analytics & BI.

Qualifications

• 4–8+ years as a Senior Analyst or Analytics Consultant delivering data products end to end.
• Strong first-principles thinking to break vague requests into structured data projects.
• Experience with AI tools for prototyping SQL logic, documentation, and ML-inspired improvements.
• Excellent communication across technical and business audiences; able to discuss JOINs and latency with engineers and LTV with executives.
• Expert SQL and Python or R for data exploration, validation and analysis; familiarity with dbt, Git or similar tools.
• Deep skill in visualisation and dashboard building with Tableau, Power BI or similar.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders to convert objectives into detailed functional specs and roadmaps.
• Lead the definition of North Star metrics and KPIs to align departments.
• Own source-to-target mappings, logic flowcharts and BRDs.
• Identify internal/external data sources and perform exploratory analysis to surface data gaps and quality issues.
• Collaborate with data engineers to design scalable pipelines with business rules.
• Lead UAT, verify transformation logic and data integrity before production.
• Design and build reporting solutions that tell meaningful business stories beyond charts.
• Deliver data in a usable form with dashboards that non-technical users will adopt.
