Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a hands-on Senior Compliance Manager / Compliance Advisory Contractor to own the regulatory framework within a regulated financial services business. ASAP start, Inside IR35, initial 3-month contract.

You will lead horizon scanning, translate regulations into practical controls, draft policies, and provide day-to-day advisory support to stakeholders. Collaboration with Risk, Legal and business teams is essential to embed regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience of compliance advisory within a regulated financial services environment.
• Regulatory change and horizon scanning.
• Drafting and maintaining compliance policies and procedures.
• Compliance framework ownership or enhancement.
• Conducting impact assessments and translating regulations into practical controls.
• Senior stakeholder engagement and governance reporting.
• Operating independently within a second-line compliance function.

Responsibilities

• Own and enhance the compliance framework.
• Lead regulatory horizon scanning and impact assessments.
• Translate regulatory developments into practical business actions.
• Draft, update and maintain policies, standards and procedures.
• Provide day-to-day compliance advisory support to stakeholders.
• Support governance forums and committee reporting.
• Identify framework and control gaps and drive remediation activity.
• Partner with Risk, Legal and business teams to ensure regulatory requirements are embedded appropriately.
• Support implementation of regulatory change initiatives across the business.
